Inhalt
Das Semantic Web beschreibt Daten im Web unter Beibehaltung ihrer Semantik so, dass andere Webanwendungen die Bedeutung der Daten mit nur geringem Aufwand "verstehen" können. Das Semantic Web hat sich von einer Forschungsinitiative im späten 20. Jahrhundert zu einer schnell wachsenden Infrastruktur für Anwendungsdomänen, wie z. B. Bioinformatik oder eGovernment, entwickelt. Diese Infrastruktur wird sowohl durch W3C-Standards als auch durch Methoden und Technologien aus den verschiedensten Bereichen der Informatik, wie z.B. künstliche Intelligenz, Datenbanken und Mensch-Computer-Interaktion, vorangetrieben. Dieser Kurs gibt einen Überblick und eine Einführung in zentrale und aktuelle semantische Webtechnologien, darunter:• Description Logics;
• XML, RDF, OWL;
• Ontologien, Ontology Engineering, Ontology Design Patterns;
• SPARQL, Named Graphs
• Linked open data;
• Information extraction;
• Semantic Web services
